Hi! My name is Montana! The vet told me I’m 3-5 years old, but I’m definitely a puppy at heart! I’m so happy to have been saved…I was severely neglected and dumped in the country after having a litter of puppies; I was found malnourished and dehydrated. I also have some hair loss, probably due to over-breeding…but don’t worry, my foster mommy says that it will grow back with good nutrition and a less stressful life! Right now, I weigh 13 pounds and am just learning what good food and fresh water are…they’re the best!

I’m really enjoying the good life now! I warmed up very quickly with my foster family, and love to play and cuddle with my foster brother. I enjoy being with people as much as I can, and love lots of attention. If you’d let me, I’d fall asleep on your lap and take a nap. I’ve been learning a lot since being with my foster family…I even learned how to go up and down stairs already! I’m still learning that it’s not always polite to jump, but am doing well on my potty training. I have the cutest underbite and cock my head at funny noises, and my tail is very curly too! I enjoy meeting other people, kids and dogs! If you’d like to meet me, please fill out an application.
I promise to bring lots of love and laughter into your life!

I see this post about Montana is from 2010. It’s almost 2020 and “Montana” (now “Peepers”) is still happily living with us here in Portland Oregon. She has been the love of our life and enjoys the comforts of a cozy bed (she sleeps with us every night) and a good stuffed animal to chew on. She has a brother Pug named Oskar (whom she thinks is dumb) and a sister Chihuahua/Terrier mix named “Snappyjaws”. She rules the roost and loves nothing more than breakfast and dinner time. Evening walks are a little tougher so she goes about a half a block before she prefers to be pushed in her custom stroller. We thank Pug Partners for allowing us to adopt Montana and bring her back to Portland.

It is 2/23/2024 and we said goodbye to Peepers nee Montana. She was the love of our life and we thank Pug Partners of Nebraska for the honor of having her be a part of it for the better part of 14 years…
