Jellybean (JB) is a dream! You would never know she lived a life of neglect mere months ago. She is very petite, weighing just under 15 lbs., and is always hungry for affection.

She is excellent with children and often sleeps with her foster family’s elementary-aged children, (she doesn’t snore but makes a soft humming/buzzing – so cute)! She does not really engage with her foster sibling by wrestling or chasing. They eat side-by-side and are rather indifferent towards each other. Her foster sibling is a German Shorthair Pointer and is used to foster dogs coming in and out of the house, so JB’s demeanor towards all dogs is still unknown.

Jellybean loves belly rubs and cuddling in laps. If you stop giving her attention, she will paw at you for more. She enjoys a variety of toys, especially ones she can chew on. JB loves to wrestle and is very playful in general. She also loves to talk! JB lets you know that your alarm clock is going off, if the doorbell rings, or if there are activities happening across the street!

She can be quite skittish with loud noises or new people. She will cower, lie flat, or hide if someone walks in the room unexpectedly or quickly. Sometimes she will seek shelter under the kitchen table if the kids in her foster family are bouncing balls in the house, but she’s easily coaxed out with the promise of cuddles and pets. On walks she is wary of cars as they drive down the street but is working on her bravery!

JB likes her crate, and is often found napping in it. Her foster family normally leaves the door open so she can enter and leave as she pleases. During the day, she has free rein of the house. JB’s family keep bedroom doors shut as she is still working on potty-training.

Jellybean is an easy-going pug overall, a loving girl in search of a loving home and lots of cuddles! A great starter pug looking to enjoy her new lease on life.
