About Pratt: Meet Pratt, a seven-year-old gentleman who spent the first chapter of his life as a breeding dog and is now, very cautiously, figuring out what it means to just be a pug.

It’s a big adjustment. Pratt didn’t grow up with people who wanted to cuddle him or couches to nap on or a twice-daily meal schedule to look forward to. But he’s learning.

And at the top of his list of favorite discoveries? Food. Pratt loves food with his whole heart and all four of his remaining teeth — yes, four, all canines, all giving him the most distinguished snaggle tooth situation you’ve ever seen.

Pratt does best with women and is still working through his fear of men, which means he’ll need a patient home where he can build trust at his own pace.

He’s crate trained, working on house training, gets along well with other dogs, and is looking for a confident canine roommate to help him learn the ropes. A fenced yard, a consistent schedule, and someone who understands that some dogs just need a little more time. That’s Pratt’s wish list.

He follows his foster mom everywhere. Partly for safety. Mostly for snacks. We think that’s a pretty good start!
