Special Needs: Isla has very deep nose skin folds that require cleaning. She is mostly house trained, but does have accidents.
Isla is a sweet and spunky girl who came to us as a stray — and we’re so glad she did! This little fawn firecracker is full of energy, love, and personality. She’s approximately one year old, has been spayed, and is ready to find her forever family.
If you’re looking for a velcro pup who will keep you on your toes, Isla is your girl. She follows her foster mom everywhere and will politely (or not so politely) insist on cuddles when she wants them. She’s outgoing, playful, curious, and absolutely adoring of the people in her life. She does jump up on guests and can be a bit much for very young children, but for an active family she’s a total delight.
Isla loves sprinting laps in a fenced backyard — especially if there’s a rabbit to chase — and she’s always up for a walk (fair warning: she pulls on the leash and is working on her manners). She’s also a squeaky toy enthusiast and prefers her treats on the soft side.
She gets along well with other dogs and loves her foster brother pug, though she plays rough and sometimes needs a gentle reminder to dial it back. She adores cats too, though her enthusiasm can occasionally get the better of her. She does well in her crate overnight and is making progress on potty training, though she’ll need regular outdoor trips to stay on track.
Isla does require a fenced yard and would likely thrive with another dog in the home to match her energy — though it’s not a must. She also has deep nose skin folds that need routine cleaning, which is easy to manage with a little daily care.
