Jagger is an adorable 5 year old fawn male recently rescued from a breeder near Sioux City. He is a little over weight and will need to loose a few pounds, but overall he is in great health. He is neutered and is up to date on his shots. More info to come once he gets into a foster family.

-Foster home update!

Hi my name is Truman (A.K.A. Jagger). I was a breeder and my owner surrendered me,
probably because I was past my breeding prime. I am five years old. I have been in my fosterhome for about 2 weeks now – I love it here! When I first came here, I didn’t know how to go up and down the stairs, but I have learned to do both! I also didn’t know that some pugs get to go for walks. I had a hard time on my leash at first, but I am getting better at this every day. I like my harness more than a collar. I also didn’t understand why my foster mom kept giving me these yummy little morsels called “treats”, but I love them now. I have three foster sisters, and I love them all. However, I hate when they try to steal my treats, I get a little mad when that happens. But I have no problem sharing the food bowl with them. I think I would be okay as an only pug too, like most pugs; I just want to be near my human. I also have no problem with cats. I haven’t been around kids in my foster home, but I am very easy going and submissive, I think I would like them.
I am very, very lovable and sweet, I love to snuggle! My foster mom lets me sleep with
her, the first night, I didn’t quite understand this and I walked right off the bed. I know better now, learned that lesson the hard way. My foster mom keeps bragging about how I never bark and, unlike most pugs, I hardly shed. I do have to wear a belly band around the house sometimes because I want to “mark” stuff. I know this is bad, and when my foster mom reminds me, I stop right away. I am getting better at this every day too, I don’t have to wear my belly band as much as I used to. My only health problem is that I do have some “P.K.” in my eyes, but it isn’t bad enough to affect my eye sight. Other than that I am very healthy. Oh yeah, the vet said I need to lose 2 pounds, but I think I think I look pretty good. Another thing my foster mom likes about me is that I don’t run away when I get lose, I just stay close to her.

Jagger is adopted!
