Sage came to the rescue after being released from her breeder. It was reported she lived in the breeder’s home as a pet but was also a mama dog. Overall, Sage does well with house training, but she marks in an unfamiliar environment. She is a Velcro shadow dog who follows her foster mama all over the house. She enjoys the other pugs in the house and quickly learned the routine of being part of the pack. We believe she was surgically altered, leaving her unable to bark or whine. She snorts and wheezes when trying to bark. The veterinarian is evaluating this. She loves sleeping in the human bed with the rest of the pack and naps on dog beds during the day. She’s not much for being outdoors in the heat. She does her business and wants to go back indoors. She HATES rain but does well with baths. She likes to chew bones and stuffies and wants another dog to be a playmate. She is a sweet girl who will do best with another dog and someone who doesn’t leave her home alone for long periods.
